Trust and saying no
- You are allowed to say no if something feels wrong — even to someone you know.
- A good friend never asks you to do something that hurts you or someone else.
- If you are not sure, ask a grown-up you trust before you do it.
People you don’t know
- Never go anywhere with someone you don’t know, even if they offer a treat or say a parent sent them.
- Make a family “safe word” that only your trusted grown-ups know.
- Online, people are not always who they say they are.
Bullying
- Bullying is when someone keeps being unkind on purpose. It is never your fault.
- Stay calm, get away to somewhere safe, and tell a grown-up you trust.
- If you see someone else being bullied, you can stand with them and tell a grown-up too.
Staying safe online
- Never share your full name, school, address, phone number or photos with people online.
- A safe friend never asks you to keep secrets from your family.
- If a message makes you feel worried or strange, don’t reply — show a grown-up.
- Messages saying you have won a prize, or asking for a password, are usually tricks.
